| Our first dessert, before they bought us another! |
This year we decided to re-use our Mario and Luigi costumes we made a couple years ago. I made a Princess Peach costume for Madilyn so we all matched! I am really happy with how it turned out. (It is scary creating something without a pattern and hoping it turns out how it is in your head!) I had a hard time getting my costume on since I am pregnant this time around. I could not get the sides of the overalls buttoned, but it worked for the hour or so that I wore it.
We had fun carving pumpkins and making a monster door!

Madilyn thought it was cool that people kept coming to our door to trick-or-treat and she even tried stealing the candy out of the bowl. She spent most of the evening walking circles in our front room in between doorbell rings. She is such a determined little girl and when she learns something new all she wants to do is practice it over and over.
As the Halloween decorations went down and Thanksgiving went up, I realized I do not have many Thanksgiving decorations. I decided to make a "Give Thanks" banner, and since I do not have a mantle in this house, I hung it on the wall.
We were lucky enough to go to Colorado for Thanksgiving this year! Madilyn did an amazing job on the plane! We loved getting to see family and even got to do our Santa tradition with the Wastarts.
Madilyn loved playing with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was fun to get her together with her cousin June since they are so close in age.
(I would have a cute picture of the two of them here, but they are all on my phone, which fell out of the diaper bag on the plane. Crossing my fingers that it gets back to me!!!)
She loved seeing Christmas trees at every one's houses and would point and excitedly say "Pitty!!" (pretty)
The trip seemed to go way too fast (we had hoped to be able to see more friends) and we were sad to say goodbye, but it is also good to be home!
