Summertime Fun

Last Summer (yes, I am a whole year behind on writing, as usual) we had a very busy house. My family had somewhat of a reunion. My brother was living in Utah, my sister and her family came to visit from Idaho, and my parents came to visit from Colorado. While everyone was here we tried to play as much as we could!

On Memorial Day we all went to the cemetery to put flowers on my Grandpa's grave. We also did some family pictures while we had everyone together.

One day we went to Thanksgiving point to see the cars from Cars 3. When we got there it was insane how crowded it was! The line to go get pictures with the cars was over 3 hours long, and it was extremely hot out! We all decided that we would be happier just walking around the side, peeking in at the cars, then getting to some air-conditioning!

Another day we all went to the zoo! It was a lot of fun to see all the animals. They had an insect exhibit going on at the time so there were giant insects all over the Zoo. Tyson was pretty freaked out by them! Grandpa was nice enough to buy the kids tickets to ride the carousel.

We made a visit to the really awesome splash pad in Springville and the kids had a blast playing in the water! I love going there because it is free, it is fun, and it is a great way to cool off!

The night before my sister went home we went to the all abilities park in Orem. We got Cafe Rio on the way and ate a picnic dinner at the park. Then we played for awhile. That park has so many fun things to play on and do.

In July we had our annual week of fun with the Wastarts! We love it when they come to visit! This year, however, was not as fun as usual because Tyson had a stomach bug that later got passed on to Brandon. Sorry for the "gift" my son gave you for visiting us! We still managed to squeeze in some fun though.

We went to the Children's Museum of Curiosity and it was really cool! They have a huge tree house to climb that has bridges, obstacles, and a slide. It was so much fun, but man did it make me feel out of shape!

They also had a fun water room that had all kinds of experiments with water and weather. They had a room all about the body and the kids played in a ball pit of "blood cells". They played in a tiny city, and we also walked around the gardens outside.

We had another fun day at our favorite splash pad while the Wastarts were here!

Kristen and I took Ally and Madi out for a girls night. We went and saw the Little Mermaid play put on by the Spanish Fork Community Theater. It was so good and we had fun watching some of our neighbors singing and acting in it.

Another fun activity that we did while they were here was painting ceramics at Wildflower.

We finished off the summer with Madilyn starting her second year of preschool! She loves school and is learning so much!

It was such a fun summer with lots of friends and family time! We love when people come to visit!
