Last May we
finally went on a cruise! We had been talking about doing one for a long time, but it was all
just talk and nothing really happened. I got the idea to see if our
friends would be interested in going with us. I asked and they
loved the idea! We were finally accountable to actually make it happen!
We chose to do a 4 night cruise to the
Bahamas and Key West. We got things booked and planned our excursions.
We drove over to Colorado to drop off the kids with
Grandparents and flew out of Denver with our friends. I had
never been to Florida before and I also had
never left the country, so this vacation was full of firsts for me!

We made it to Miami and it was
so humid! (Goodbye non-crazy hair!!!) We took the train to our hotel and explored a little.
The next morning we took an Uber (another first for me) to the port and boarded our ship. We were amazed by how big the ship was, and we were apparently on one of the tiny ones.
We set sail and relaxed by the pool! The next morning we came to our first port, Nassau, Bahamas.
We were supposed to go snorkeling, but it got canceled, so we explored the city instead. We also found a beach and went swimming.

The next day we came into port at Coco Cay, Bahamas. This is Royal Caribbean's private island. It was SO beautiful! Here we did kayaks, wave runners, and just relaxed.

For our last full day we ported in
Key West, Florida. It was a cute little island town! While we were here we went
paddle boarding. Once I got the hang of it, it was so much
fun!! We saw a sea hare, a star fish, and tons of nurse sharks.

While on the cruise, we were assigned a table for dinner every night. We
quickly became friends with the other couples at our table! We had so much
fun talking and were one of the last tables to leave each night.

We arrived back at
Port of Miami the next morning, checked out, and Ubered to the airport for a
long day of flying back to Colorado. When we got there we got to
hug our babies and tell them all about our trip. It was a trip we will
never forget, and we may or may not have
already booked our next one!
