Thanksgiving in Idaho

This year we went to my sister's home in Idaho for Thanksgiving. It was so fun to visit with them and the girls had a blast! We got the kids their own air mattresses and they put them both in June's room and had a slumber party every night! I hope our kids can create many more fun memories like this with their cousins! Brooke and I had fun trying on different Lipsense colors because she had just become a distributor.

Sisters!

We had the feast at her in-laws' home and, as always, ate way too much good food!

We spent Black Friday visiting Santa and going to see Moana! It was the kids' first time in a theater and they both did really well. I am glad that my sister is now living a little closer to me than she was, but it still is not close enough!

This was the first year Madilyn willingly sat on Santa's lap!! (Woo-hoo!) She asked Santa for "something Cinderella".
Tyson- not so much! Lucas had to come to the rescue. The look on Tyson's face reminds me a lot of the look on Madilyn's face the first time she met Santa (here).

Pumpkins!!

The kids were so excited for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch!! Now that they are a little older, they had even more fun than last time! We played in the corn pit, played in the hay maze, and climbed the hay tower! We even looked at the (stinky) animals! We found some pretty good pumpkins and were happy to bring them home!

I sat with the kids at the computer and let them pick what they wanted on their pumpkins. They helped scoop out the guts and watched as Lucas and I carved. Our final product ended up being a hit with the trick-or-treaters!!

We were a family of pirates this year! The kids had a lot of fun trick-or-treating and Madilyn really got the concept of it this year! She had even more fun passing out candy though!!

Halloween quesadillas!

"Look, Mom!!"

Our Anniversary Weekend

This year was Lucas's turn to plan our Anniversary. He told me to pack an over-night bag and to be ready to go. In the morning he brought us home Kneaders french toast for breakfast! It was delicious, as always! We packed up and headed out. We went into the mountains and ended up in Park City. We went ahead and made it a family weekend by bringing the kids along since we don't have their grandparents around to watch them overnight. Lucas booked us a room at the Park City Mountainside Resort. It was so nice and very family friendly! Our room was more like a condo and had a view of the alpine slide and coaster.

We enjoyed walking around Main Street and exploring all the little shops. We had dinner reservations at the Wild Horse and had no idea what a fancy restaurant it really was. It was delicious, by the way!

When we returned to the resort we went for a night swim. The pool area was amazing! They had pretty lights all over and there were at least 5 different hot tubs with waterfalls and color-changing lights in the water.

The next morning we went to get brunch at a place called Squatters and headed home. We took a scenic drive on the way home to see all the fall leaves. It was beautiful!
